I was playing beach volleyball this past weekend and suddenly the clouds turned pitch black and the winds picked up. There was a mass exodus of people and all I could do was sit in the sand and stare in amazement.
I sat for about 15 minutes, just thinking about my life and how the last 10 years have just flown by. I thought about the experiences I have had, the friends I have made, the special people in my life and my family. It was just the perfect opportunity to reflect and think about where my life is headed and the goals I have in front of me.
The next thing I knew, it started to downpour, so I quickly headed for overhead shelter. I sat outside in the rain for another 15 mins and just enjoyed the sound of the rain hitting the ground and the fresh smell it elicited.
Sometimes you just need those moments to reflect and move forward in your life.
